Do you enjoy working with C++ and have a scientific or mathematical/technical university degree, and bring programming experience with you? Then you are exactly the right fit for us!

 

To strengthen our team, we are looking for a motivated Junior Software Engineer (m/f/d) for our office in the Munich area. Our location in Ismaning is conveniently accessible and offers a modern working environment.

 

You will work on training and simulation solutions for our customers in the defence sector, enjoy technical interaction with customers, and be part of an international team of software engineers.

Responsibilities

  • Customer support and further development of software solutions in the training & simulation domain
  • Independent handling of tasks and customer requests
  • Programming and optimisation of applications in C++
  • Close collaboration with customers in the DACH region
  • Coordination with international teams from the USA, UK, France, and Italy
  • Regular travel activities, both nationally and internationally

Experience, Character and Skills

  • Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a comparable scientific or technical discipline
  • Solid knowledge of C++ is required
  • Initial practical experience (e.g. through internships, working student positions, or projects), ideally in the defence, aerospace, or comparable high-tech environments
  • Strong interest in complex technical systems and sophisticated software solutions
  • Independent, structured, and reliable working style with a high sense of responsibility
  • Good communication skills and enjoyment of working collaboratively in a team
  • Proactive attitude and willingness to take responsibility and contribute your own ideas
  • Willingness to travel, including international travel
  • Team spirit and a strong willingness to learn
  • Very good German language skills (C1/C2) and good English skills (at least B2)

NOW LOOKING FOR A EUROPEAN SYSTEMS ENGINEER

Location: Argenteuil, Paris. France

 

Overview

 

ST Engineering Antycip requires a Systems Engineer to work at the European level. This is a new and exciting team being formed to help the company increase the synergy between each office and develop the company’s capabilities to support train and deliver services against COTS software. This will be a supporting role to our existing teams in France Italy and UK which are working with exciting and high-profile clients designing and delivering Simulation technologies that are often tailored to suit their specific requirements.

 

The role could require travel to customer sites across Europe and USA from time to time to suit the business needs.

Responsibilities

To work together with and reporting to the European Head of Engineering in a new team being created to increase the synergy between each office and develop the company’s capabilities to support train and deliver services against COTS software In this role will be involved with the following areas:-

  • Delivering API level training to customers
  • Implementing new software extensions to the current portfolio.
  • Configuring the solution specifically for the customers use cases.
  • Involvement in delivery and acceptance testing.
  • Supporting, testing and bug fixing of delivered services work and core products

Evolution

  • Supporting existing customer with support issues on COTS software
  • Working with customers to define requirements.
  • Analysis of those requirements and design of the software.
  • Interfacing with customer developed systems.

Experience, Character and Skills

Essential Attributes:

 

  • Ability to be security cleared at NATO level
  • Ability to be security cleared at French level
  • Mathematics skills and computer software/hardware knowledge would be a great asset to this position
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and team-oriented with excellent communication skills at all levels

Desirable attributes:

  • Prior technical experience in the aerospace and defence industry.
  • A proven track record in Object orientated C++ software development (Visual Studio)
  • Knowledge in network simulation
  • A good understanding of Synthetic Environment architectures and Distributed Simulation frameworks
  • Experience with High Level Architecture (HLA) middleware tools and middleware.
  • Development of user interfaces with the Qt framework.
  • Network / Socket programming experience.
  • Development using 3D rendering engines or game engines.
  • Multi-lingual: Good spoken and written skills in both English and French (Italian would be a plus)
