To position itself as a leading technology hub in North Africa, the Zarzis Smart Centre partnered with ST Engineering Antycip (Antycip) to install the region’s first VR CAVE, powered by Barco projection technology and Techviz visualisation software. The project’s aim was to create a multi-functional innovation space, offering cutting-edge tools for education, business development, and research and development (R&D).
“The VR CAVE offers immersive experiences that will strengthen community ties while serving as a powerful educational and business platform,” said Chaouki Friaa, President and CEO of Zarzis Business Park. With support for prototyping, specialised training, and 3D modelling, the VR CAVE is designed to boost innovation and business competitiveness in industries such as automotive, aeronautics, medicine, architecture, and oil & gas.
Creating such a technologically advanced facility required integrating state-of-the-art projection hardware with high-performance software, ensuring precise visualisation, seamless interactivity, and collaborative capabilities for business professionals, educators, and students alike.
