ABOUT THIS EVENT

What is IT FLIES?

IT FLIES is an annual international competition that challenges university students to design, present, and test aircraft in real-time flight simulators.

Organised by Merlin Flight Simulation Group in partnership with  ST Engineering Antycip, the competition offers students a unique opportunity to take their designs beyond the theoretical and into a simulated, real-world environment.

Using Merlin’s EXCALIBUR flight simulation software, students can showcase not only their creativity but also the practical performance of their designs.

At IT FLIES, professional test pilots fly and assess the students’ designs, bringing a whole new level of realism to the challenge.

Why Participate in IT FLIES?

  • Real-Time Simulation: Test your aircraft design in a professional-grade flight simulator with real-time feedback.
  • Professional Test Pilots: Have your design flown and evaluated by an experienced test pilot.
